characterized by comprehension of the parts of something as intimately interconnected and explicable only by reference to the whole.

Holistic Business Coaching is focusing on every aspect of your business - strategy, sales & marketing, financials, PEOPLE, ATTITUDES, CULTURE, and YOU to ensure that they are all optimized and in alignment with each other. The problem with most businesses is that they spend way too much time focusing on the hard core business principles at the expense of the "soft stuff" or they just focus on each piece individually. This is the old way of doing business. Holistic Business Coaching with Jamie will work with integrating every part of your business with its most important asset - YOU. Sustainable successful businesses understand that everything is interconnected and that an imbalance will always manifest itself - the only question is when and how. As the person at the top, your imbalances will have the most dramatic impact on your business and that's why we start with you.

The birth of holistic business coaching

My name is Jamie, and I am a reformed perfectionist, who has found my peace and my truth. Growing up, I always lived up to the high expectations that were set for me - I graduated at the top of my class, excelled in sports, went to an elite college, got a high profile job on Wall St. I mingled with the rich and famous in NYC, went on amazing vacations, ate at the best restaurants, and hung out at trendy clubs. But in rare moments of honesty with myself, I always felt unfulfilled. I kept myself so busy that I was mostly able to ignore that feeling that was buried deep in my gut and even when it did bubble to the surface, I rationalized it with my lifestyle and six-figure income. I was always interested as to whether other people felt satisfied and fulfilled and found that people easily opened up to me about what was going on in their lives. I discovered that many of my friends, colleagues, and clients - some of the outwardly most successful people on the planet were among the most unhappy and that they all told a similar story.

It was only during kundalini yoga teacher training (what Russell Brand calls the "crack-cocaine of yoga") that everything began to open up for me and I was able to begin the process of finding my peace. The yoga and mindfulness practices ignited a deep opening and transformation and I began to see everything differently. Others noticed the difference in me too - I was lighter, happier, more magnetic. I began to think about leaving my career so that I could pursue my passion of relating this magic to others. But I was stuck. How could I give up the security of the lifestyle I had become so accustomed to strike out on my own? The "ah-hah" moment came when one day at work I started asking my co-workers a hypothetical question - "if the CEO of your company had committed a crime and asked you to take the fall (6 months in a white collar prison) how much money would it take for you to do it?" I was blown away by the most common answer - "not very much...it would actually be kind of nice to have a break from my life". I asked my yoga friends the same question. There was only one answer - "there is no amount of money that would make me consider doing that". The power those answers made me understand how necessary this work is, so I took a leap of faith to embody exactly what it is I want to share with others. Overcoming my own fears and self-limiting beliefs about what I "should" be doing and giving myself permission to leave the safety of those "shoulds" to live as my truest self was the hardest thing I have ever done, and it's exactly what I want to coach you to do. It's not about changing your career, that's not what I'm encouraging you to do. What it is about is changing how you see and interact with the world by changing the way you interact with yourself - because we are the ones who create our own realities through our perceptions and our actions. I know it's hard, but I also know it is attainable.

About me

I combine the powerful tools of mindfulness teachings with robust business acumen. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Haverford College and my MBA from the Fox School of Business. My professional experience includes:

  • Stock Trader/Financial Analyst
  • Medical Device Sales
  • Marketing Strategy Consulting
  • M&A Strategy
  • Small Business Consulting

I started learning about leadership at an early age through sports as a two-time girls basketball state champion in high school and a 3 year captain at Haverford College. I observe the parallels between sports and business constantly and believe the factors that drive success are similar in both.

Through my professional experience working for five different small to medium sized companies run by the founder, I know first hand how the CEO's demeanor, characteristics, and actions affect the attitudes and commitment of everyone in the company. The CEO of my first company was Bernie Madoff (no joke) and what people don't know is that his charisma and compassion actually made his company a tremendous place to work (think about how many people never betrayed him). I've also worked for CEOs at the opposite end of spectrum, who were nice intelligent people, but their controlling tight grip on their company made what would be a great place to work into a frustrating, uninspiring experience. Today, I am committed to fostering the core values that make leaders, teams, and companies successful, prosperous, and highly engaged. These also happen to be the core values of the Golden State Warriors - mindfulness, joy, compassion, competitiveness. When these come first, success is sure to follow.

Winning is important to me, but what brings me real joy is the experience of being fully engaged in whatever I am doing.
